Always remember, the audience turned out for you, so engage them at all costs.
At a live/in person event, spend the time speaking to your audience, rather than focusing on your notes and PowerPoint. Stroll the stage, make eye contact with folks in the first few rows.
As a virtual presenter you cannot rely on the audience energy to get you going. And it's quite possible they will not be paying attention to you the whole time, or may skip your presentation altogether and watch the recording later. But you still have to engage your audience.
When working in a virtual space, since you cannot make direct eye contact with your audience, deliver your presentation directly to your camera. This will appear to your virtual audience that you are looking directly at them.
